NOW Recruiting: Layout editors for the STEM Fellowship Journal!
The STEM Fellowship Journal (SFJ) is an open-access peer-reviewed journal that publishes scholarly research by high school and university students in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields. To date, we have published five issues, and ~50 manuscripts, graphical abstracts, op-eds and more. By joining as a Layout Editor, you join a large, diverse student editorial board, and have the chance to develop both your design and scientific communication skills.
As a Layout Editor, your role will primarily revolve around preparing manuscripts for publication i.e. you will receive complete manuscripts (which have been copy-edited and peer-reviewed), and you will typeset them into the STEM Fellowship Journal’s template files. You will likely have to prepare 1-2 manuscripts per month. The only requirement for this role is to be familiar AND have access to Adobe InDesign. Please note that the STEM Fellowship Journal has previously prepared InDesign templates, and so for this role, extensive design experience is valuable, but NOT necessary.
Feel free to email Jayneel (the Student Editorial Board Director) at email@example.com if you have any further questions. To apply, please send your CV directly to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your interest in STEM Fellowship! We look forward to receiving your application.
