The Undergraduate Engineering Research Day (UnERD)

We have partnered with UnERD (located at the University of Toronto) for 2017 and 2018.
For the 2016 UnERD, the STEM Fellowship Journal sponsored the publication of one manuscript. The nominated student was Chris J. Zhang, who then published the following research project: In Vivo Potential of Manganese Chelated Porphysomes as MRI Contrast Agents.

For the 2017 UnERD, the STEM Fellowship Journal agreed to offered a 50% fee waiver to publish one manuscript, and to publish two graphical abstracts (at no cost to UnERD or the student). So far, Kelvin Chow (an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto’s Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering) has published a graphical abstract illustrating his lab’s work: Development of Visual Feedback Training Using Functional Electrical Stimulation Therapy for Balance Rehabilitation.


John Polanyi Collegiate Institute’s Metamorphosis Girls STEM Conference (2018)

The mission of the Metamorphosis Girls STEM Conference is to inspire and support girls to build and sustain their innate interests in STEM through a day of hands-on workshops, inspirational speakers and mentorship. 
This conference will take place at the John Polanyi Collegiate Institute on 8th March 2018.

STEM Fellowship has partnered with the #MORPH2018 conference in order to:
– Lead a Coding 101 workshop
– Offer a speaker for the panel session (Judy Chen) and a STEM Talks session speaker (Farah Qaiser)
– Host the #MySTEMStoryIs contest!
