Dr. Sacha Noukhovitch


Founder and President of the STEM Fellowship as well as Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Science Publishing Open Access peer-reviewed STEM Fellowship Journal 

Dr. Noukhovitch is a renowned education innovator that is awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (Civil Division) and Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence in STEM. He is member of the Ontario College of Teachers, sits on the marketing committee of the USA Council of Science Editors, LEAD Canada/LEAD International fellow, the STEM-stream Editor of the International Journal on Innovations in Online Education.


Adrian Stanley

General Manager for JMIR Publications, Past President for the Society for Scholarly Publishing, and Chair of the STEM Fellowship Board



Hannah Rahim

Former CEO of STEM Fellowship, Associate at Boston Consulting Group

Hannah is an incoming Associate at Boston Consulting Group and a recent University of Calgary BHSc graduate. Previously, she has served as STEM Fellowship’s CEO, interned with the UN Human Rights Council and published several health research papers. She hopes to work at the intersection of management, population health and social justice.

Tim Herron


Tim comes to STEM Fellowship with a wealth of board experience and governance training.  He is currently the chair of the Investment Committee of the Presbyterian Church in Canada and past board member of the GTA Institute of Corporate Directors.  When not diving into board documents, he can be found at Thornhill Golf Course summer and winter.

Christina Hewitt

Legal Operations Leader and Law Clerk, 3M Canada Company

Christina serves as a Law Clerk and Legal Operations Leader for 3M Canada Company.  She was previously a law clerk at Kellogg’s and Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP.  She is Green Belt (project management) certified and has 20+ years of experience in contracts and advertising law.

Michael Duong, Ph.D.

Head of Innovation, Hoffmann-La Roche
Founding Board Member, CPHIN

Michael is the Head of Innovation for Hoffmann-La roche Limited across all of its Canadian divisions, including Roche Pharmaceuticals, Roche Diagnostics, and Roche Diabetes Care. Michael also leads the Roche Innovation Hive – which is the creative space where the future of healthcare is being imagine and co-created between Roche and its external partners. Michael is also co-founder and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Personalized Healthcare Innovation Network (CPHIN) which is a not for profit corporation representing a consortium of members from both public and private sectors focused on the acceleration of personalized healthcare for Canada. 

Michael received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Pharmacology and a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences with a specialization in Neuroscience, both from McMaster University.
