High School Chapter's Program

Support the High School Chapter's Program

As a federal charity, we rely on the generous support of our sponsors to sustain the work we do for Canadian youth. Funds that are donated to STEM Fellowship are appreciated and will be used to support STEM programs, which provide students across the country with unique, inquiry-based, experiential learning opportunities.

The STEM Fellowship Chapter Programs provides students with the opportunity to lead SF chapters and immerse themselves in unique STEM-oriented learning opportunities. By establishing a chapter at a local educational institution, Chapter Heads serve as leaders for STEM Fellowship’s national team, through overseeing and leading STEM Fellowship activities within their high schools, while promoting the field of STEM to students.

Some activities that Chapter Heads lead can be related to various aspects of STEM Fellowship, which include but are not limited to: data science workshops or mini Big Data Challenges, scholarly communication workshops, career talk webinars, or partnering with local university STEM Fellowship branches to coordinate tailored initiatives (eg. community mentorship programs). As a Chapter Head, students have flexibility of choosing which initiatives interest them and their school, working closely with STEM Fellowship to initiate and facilitate their chapters throughout the year.

If you are interested in learning more about setting up a Chapter at your school but would like more information, please refer to this Chapter Guide and/or do not hesitate to contact the Chapters team at chapters@stemfellowship.org.
